Services

Everything between your drawing and a registrable vehicle.

We handle the approval work that sits between a finished design and a vehicle that can legally be sold, registered and driven in South Africa.

Approval is a schedule problem before it is a technical one.

Almost every vehicle programme that misses its launch date does so for a reason that was known, on paper, months earlier. A variant nobody scoped. A supplier report at the wrong revision. A body specification that drifted between the drawing and the workshop floor.

We work the other way around. The approval route is fixed at design freeze, the evidence is gathered while the vehicle is still being built, and the submission goes in once.

What we do

01

Vehicle homologation

We take a model from technical file to approval: category and scope determination, gap analysis against the applicable compulsory specifications, evidence assembly, submission, and the follow-up correspondence that decides how long the file actually sits.

  • Category and scope determination (M, N, O and L)
  • Gap analysis against the applicable compulsory specifications
  • Technical file assembly and submission management
  • Query handling until approval is issued
02

Letters of Authority

An LOA is the difference between a consignment that clears and a consignment that sits. We map each part number to the specification that actually governs it, assemble the evidence, and keep the register current as your range changes.

  • Part number to specification mapping
  • Test report sourcing and validation
  • Application preparation and lodgement
  • Renewal calendar and register maintenance
03

UN ECE type approval

Existing international approvals can remove a great deal of retesting, but only where the scope, variant and revision level genuinely match. We tell you which of your evidence carries across, and what has to be done locally.

  • Evidence review against the relevant UN regulations
  • Recognition strategy for approvals held abroad
  • Retest scoping where recognition falls short
  • Multi-market approval planning
04

Test planning and witnessing

Testing is the most expensive thing to repeat. We write the test plan before the first sample is built, book the laboratory, attend the runs, and make sure the report says what the reviewer needs it to say.

  • Test matrix built from your build specification
  • Laboratory selection and scheduling
  • Attendance and witnessing on site
  • Report review before it reaches the regulator
05

MIB registration and model codes

Before anything can be registered it has to exist in the system under your name. We handle manufacturer, importer and builder registration and the model code work that follows it.

  • Manufacturer, importer and builder registration
  • Model code applications and amendments
  • Derivative and variant structuring
  • Records that survive an audit
06

Body builders and conversions

A locally built body on an imported chassis is one vehicle to the regulator, not two. We set the build specification up front so that what leaves your workshop is the thing that was approved.

  • Chassis and body approval alignment
  • Build specification and drawing packs
  • Conversion and modification approvals
  • Production conformity between units
07

Components and replacement parts

Lighting, glazing, braking, tyres, seats, belts, mirrors and the rest of the safety-critical list each carry their own requirements. We keep the register straight so that your catalogue stays sellable.

  • Catalogue-wide compliance review
  • Supplier evidence collection and chasing
  • Approval applications by part family
  • Held-consignment recovery
08

Compliance audits and regulatory watch

Most regulatory failures were visible months earlier. We audit what you hold against what you sell, and we tell you when something changes that affects a model already in the market.

  • Approval register audit against live catalogue
  • Production conformity readiness review
  • Change notification and impact assessment
  • Standing regulatory watch briefings

How an engagement runs

Step one

Scope

We establish what you are actually approving: category, variants, derivatives, and which of them can travel together as one family.

Step two

Gap

Everything you already hold is measured against what the submission requires. You get a list of what is missing and what it will cost to close.

Step three

Evidence

Tests are booked, witnessed and reviewed. Supplier documents are chased. The technical file is built as the work completes, not afterwards.

Step four

Submission

The file is lodged and we carry the correspondence. Queries come to us, not to your engineering team.

Step five

Registration

Model codes and registration data are set up so the first vehicle off the line can actually be sold.

Step six

Maintenance

Approvals expire, ranges change and regulations move. We keep the register current and tell you when something needs attention.
